Knowledgebase Updates
Posted on March 8th, 2009 No commentsWe recently added some new articles, and updated some old entries in our Support Knowledgebase. The new articles answer some previously unaddressed queries and also some unexpected. In particular, we recommend that all our customers take note of our Recommendations for Complicated Passwords.
Our Support Knowledgebase is an online library of answers, tips and hints relating to the most commonly asked questions, queries and problems experienced by our customers. If you are experiencing a problem, or have a query, the likelihood is that that the answer is probably within the Knowledgebase.
We are always looking to expand the information within the Knowledgebase, so if you think there is a question, topic or problem we should address, please contact us.

New Website Goes Live
Posted on March 4th, 2009 No commentsAfter a few birthing problems, our new website is up and running. We had a few glitches with the MySQL .Net connector, but all has now been addresses and the new website is running as expected.
Over the next couple of months we will be rolling out further updates to the website include more dynamic online functionality for our hosting customers. Keep an eye on this blog for further details.
Our new website also brings with it full availability of the MySQL ADO.Net Connector. Customers with ASP.Net websites now have two routes to connect to their MySQL database; traditional ODBC or a more direct .Net Connector.

New Website
Posted on February 26th, 2009 2 commentsOver the course of the weekend 28th February 2009 – 1st March 2009, we will be launching the new version of our company website. The new website has been carefully designed and developed over the last six months building on the success of its’ predecessor without compromising usability or experience.
To the casual visitors, there will be fairly little visible change to our website. To ensure consistency and to reduce any confusion, we have made minimal changes to our website’s design. Instead, we have concentrated on rebuilding the underlying core systems. The entire site is built using Microsoft ASP.Net 3.5 incorporating Ajax functionality.
If you have any comments or suggestions regarding our website, please feel free to contact us.

Server Moves
Posted on February 5th, 2009 No commentsThis weekend, our hosting servers will be moving to a new datacenter this weekend. Unfortunately, such a move requires that we change the IP Addresses of our servers.
For the majority of our customers, no action required on your part. However, if your domain name is not controlled by us, it will be necessary for you to manually update the DNS A Record for your domain.
The move should take place at around 9AM GMT on Saturday. As with all physical moves, there will be a period of downtime, but we aim to keep this to a minimum. If your domain is not controlled by us, we recommend that you make the requisite DNS changes on the preceding evening to minimise downtime.
For full details of this move, including the new IP addresses of our servers, please read this page on support knowledgebase.
